It is with great sadness that I announce the disbanding of The Faux McCoys. We had a great run, and it changed our lives because of the amazing people that we played for and all of the great venues that gave us a shot on their stages. We put it all out on the stage, and we were so honored that you all enjoyed it and would come back time and time again. My heart is broken about this, but it warms my heart to know that you dug what we did. We dug doing it. I don’t know what is going to happen from here, but it cannot be The Faux McCoys.
I wish the best to Boozer, my partner in crime, Jesse GoLo, Brother Shaw, and all of the other folks that sat in on washtub bass, harmonica, etc. You guy and gals made this what is was. Thank you.
It was amazing being Woody, y’all. Maybe he’ll be back out there doing something. Maybe he’ll just throw his support behind his cousin.
